Short book on taxes?

Question

Could someone please recommend a short, good, no more than 200 pages, book on taxes? I for once find the matter really boring, but I suppose I need to know about it, if I want to become an investor,

Here is even a shorter one just on investing:

Make sure anything you made profit on was owned for at least a year and a day so you pay long term capital gains, which is always lower than your regular tax bracket.  Everything else is taxed like the rest of your income, except for the few things that are specifically tax exempt: municipal bonds and such.  Pretty short book!
