  1. The tall gene is dominant in pea plants. This gene will be represented by capital "T". The recessive, or short gene, will be represented by lowercase "t". A short pea plant can only be represented by two lowercase "t"s or tt. A Tt or TT pea plant would be tall. This is shown by the Punnet square:

    Therefore two short plants can only produce short offspring
