  2. do what i did when i was told to field there, take up wicket keeping!! LOL

  3. Make sure you have a good helmet, never field there without one. I'm not trying to scare you but, even though it's a rare occurance, people have been injured (Ian Bell recently) and at least one person has died (Raman Lamba from India). Keep an eye on the ball at all times, especially as it's such an attacking place to be fielding, it'll be flying towards you at a decent speed if the batsman chooses to whack it. If you already have a good pair of hands then you're at an advantage already.

Not sure what else to tell you really other than be confident in that position and you should do well. Good luck!

  4. You need some good protective gear when fielding close.

As the bowler bowls, you need to make sure you're on your toes rather than on your heels. This allows you to move quicker if needed.

    Best of luck to you!!

  5. A quality helmet and your uninterrupted concentration on the ball is a must. Also you should be able to read the mind of your bowler because one mistake can abruptly end your career. But we all know that except one bad incident no cricketer has lost his life at that position. A lot of people die in their bed but we don't stop sleep in our bed. So the moral is that have confidence and best to you.

  6. Helmet, Box, Shin Pads. Good luck
