Question:

Short period after stopping the pill...

I stopped the pill on 7/14. I had a 2 day period from 7/17-7/18. I charted that cycle and confirmed through BBT, CM and OPK that I ovulated on CD17 (Aug 2nd). But my period came 8/11 (a week earily)! Anyone else experience this sort of thing?

  1. Nothing is really "normal" after coming off of birth control, so .. with that said .. anything is also normal.  I wouldn't worry about it.  It will take your body a few months, at least, to regulate again .. longer if you've been on b/c for a long time (like 10 years or more).

  2. It's going to take a little while for your cycle to go back to normal until then I've heard it can actually be easier to get pregnant in this time when your hormones are fluctuating.

  3. Your period will become normal again the longer you're off the pill. It just takes time. Just keep a spare tampon in your purse for unexpected leaks.
