It’s that silence right after it has stopped raining. That stillness in the air, that awkwardness. You’re almost completely sure the sun will shine now, but you’re not ready to put away your umbrella just yet. In the distance, a lone leaf swifts through the warm air of nothingness, visiting the cruel ground and flying back up again, making you wonder how that’s possible without wind. It’s a sound you think you hear in the distance though nothing is visible, nothing shows up…yet. It’s that uncertain (yet thrilling) feeling like before finding out the grade to your last exam. It’s a nervousness; an exciting thought of “what could be,†giving you something to look forward to. You wont entirely believe in its presence, but you feel it’s within your grasp. It’s hope.
