Question:

Short-sighted question...?

I am short sighted, meaning i can't see from distance. But when i'm away from something i can't see, when i stretch my eyes, on the side of my lids, i pull them (Asian look) and thats when i can see better, and when i let it go, i'm short sighed again.. Any idea why this happens?!

  1. That happens to all us short sighted people. When you squint or stretch your eyes back with your fingers I think you bend the cornea a little, and it helps refract light better inside the eye. Making your vision sharper temporarily.


  2. im sure you have been to an opticians and they have given you a pinhole test ,its the same thing

  3. im short-sighted to, and that happens to me aswell (the asian thing), i went to the eye person (i forgot what there called) he said that something in my eye is bent more than normal sigted people, i think when you pull the skin, its bends the thing back in to place, but when you let go it goes back to being bent.

  4. Thats weird, but in saying that i can focus my eyes and then concerntrate and focus again.... My boyfriends sister and mother have rugby ball sahped eyeballs and they had that problem when they went for a fitting for contact lenses, obvious answer--- go for an eye test..
