Short summary for The Sun Also Rises?

Do you think this is ok for a short summary for the book The Sun Also Rises, by Hemingway?

The Sun Also Rises follows the story of a few characters but mainly focuses on the lives of Lady Brett Ashley and Jake Barnes. Jake and Brett are together on and off along with friends throughout traveling in France and Spain. Along the way the friends share many drinks and meals and go fishing and watch the fantastic bull fights in Spain during the weeklong fiesta.

It is not bad, but you could improve it.  For example, instead of "characters" use a stronger word - "adventurers" maybe.  Don't use quite so many "ands" in the last sentence - you need to tighten it.  The phrase "on and off along with friends" does not flow very well.  And you need a finishing sentence, a strong sentence to bring your summary to a close.

The Sun Also Rises is a classic, and also one that I have never read, though it is on my list to read this winter.  However, there are numerous free on line resources that can help you with your study of this novel, most of which analyze the story, discuss themes and symbolism and other literary devices, and give character sketches.  If you do a search you will find many helpful resources.  Additionally hundreds of questions have been asked here on Y!A about The Sun Also Rises so do a search for it in the Yahoo Answers search window and you will find lots of Q’s and A’s that should help you.
