Shot Glass Checkers......?

Question

I just brought this game of checkers for my fiance and i to play. Instead of the usual red and black game pieces, it had clear shot glasses and shaded shot glasses. We played the other night and it was a good game, but i think we were playing wrong. If he jumped me, then he took a shot and vice versa. Isnt it 'spose to be that if he jumps me then I drink. No, the game didnt come with instructions. Please help. I wanna play again this weekend; the right way.

I had the same type of board except it was chess.  IF you take the piece then the person who lost the piece takes the shot and vice versa.  So if the person you are playing against is a bad player or a light drinker, it gets easier to beat him/her.  Hope this helps.
