  1. It's really hard to say

Depends on how gun fits you, weight of gun (heavy gun feels like it kicks less), gas operated auto kicks less, type of recoil pad - any is better than hard buttplate but they vary in effectiveness

small persons may be able to take recoil more easily - recoil can shove you back easier than a more massive person - they don't move as easily so they get hammered - you get shoved

some people are bothered more than others - I'm a big guy and I don't like recoil (especially after I developed arthritis in my shoulder)

could not stand to shoot short barreled double with hard buttplate - sold it and bought gas operated Mossberg 930 - if recoil on it really bothers me, I'll try Limb Saver recoil pad, a pistol grip stock (Choate) and if that doesn't work I'll try installing a recoil reducer in the stock

but biggest thing is make sure the gun fits you

  2. kick ? recoil. low recoil 1200 vs 1600 ouch

  3. its really not that bad, its loud so it might spook you at first but its not that bad.

  4. The only difference between high brass and low brass shells is the length of the brass base

The reduced power of low brass is a myth it is merely a marketing ploy

High brass was first used on paper shells for more reliable extraction and to eliminate the possibility of burn through

  5. not bad

  6. If you shoot at clay targets its hard to get real pumped ha ha ! but their are very small pro`s that have no problem. If you shot that same gun at game the Adrenalin would take over and you wouldn`t feel much at all. get pumped.
