Shotokan Karate Help!!!!!!?

I do shotokan karate, I train twice a week with my instructer Ben Fail. I am part of GKA and KUGB, and I enjoy it. But i have just passed my orange belt and im now a red belt i know my kata but im stuck with the Yellow belt kata Heian Sandan can anyone help me!!! (tell me steps or a video that teaches it)

  1. Talk to your teacher, use a mirror or even record it.

    You tube does have versions of it but you want a good correct version make sure.

    It is really not too hard to learn once you get the first few moves down.


  2. Ask your instructor so that you both are on the same page.

  3. the next time you train,do what I done for my son,record it on your phone etc,or get your partner to,then carry on from there,you will pick up on your mistakes and learn much quicker

  4. there's videos on youtube which show the Shotokan katas.

    If you think Heian Sandan is hard, just wait till ya get to Tekki Shodan -- that one confused the h**l out of me. lol  (I have the same prob with a shaolin kung-fu form I was learning....doing the same movements on one side, then the other in the kata is less easy to get the hang of than you'd think. lol)
