Shots??????????

I'm 11 and getting a chicken pock booster shot tonight! These are my 2 questions...im scared of shots..what do i do to calm down? and 2..i have a sinus infection and im on pills..can i still get it??

I know when i take my son in, if he's sick at all, he coudlnt have the chicken pox one, they had to wait till he was well. As for you calming down, remember to breath! If it bugs you that bad, turn your head away and dont look at the needle. just remember to breath, dont tense up, that could make it hurt worse.

well i just had 3 shots 2 days ago. im 14. imagine this. it hurts 3 times worse when u drop a TV remote on ur toe. the shot will hurt 3 times less than remote dropping. just look away from the shot and hum a song u like or somethin. i hope this help. i had 2 shots and a tetanus shot

i dont know about the sinus thing, but what i used to do when i got a shot was hold my breath and count backwards from 5. Its over after that, doesnt hurt at all, just a little pinch

I hate needles too! The best solution I came up with is to talk the whole time about something else. Talk to the nurse about your summer vacation or something. It helps get your mind off of what's going on and before you know it, it's over.

Also, the sinus infection is fine. It won't interfere with your shot.

well the shot will be over before you know it. i always get nervous but then i get better. i am a little older then you so i feel your pain. itll be alright. its just like a little pinch. but i have never gotten my blookd drawn soo i dont know about that!! good luck and itll be alright!!! =]
