Ok I will be finishing high school soon and want to attend F.I.D.M., I want to live near the school and wanted to know what places are good to stay and if I can afford The Los Angeles lifestyle.

I have15,000 saved up from jobs and gifts, can this support me for my first year? What jobs are good for college students in Los Angeles?

I have a lot of questions but I hope someone can help! Thanks for reading

  1. $15,000 will not get you through for a year unless you get a job right away. It'll cost you a minimum $1000 a month for an apartment. If you get a decent paying job then you might make it.

  3. Umm if you think that is the best place for you.

I moved to LA and HATED IT!! I didn't like the area or the people. It is Extremely expensive and very superficial.  But I am from upstate NY (farming town) where everyone is real, civil and caring.

A good job to have during college is a receptionist or office assistant. You can always move up fast as long as the co. needs it.

I started as a receptionist and worked my up to a bookkeeper w/ in 9 months.

So SERIOUSLY weigh your options and think about this decision! But if you don't like it, you can always move. :) That's what I did. haha

  4. I think that's MORE than enough! You'll settle down easily!
