Shoud i make reservations for camping places in spain or should they be open/available?

for example in madrid, barcelona, palma de majorca.. also where are some places to go from experience?

Since August and September are months when many spanairds go on vacations, I suggest you call and reserve in advance.. In the Barcelona Area, I saw one in Lloret del Mar.. ( about 1 hour away from the city).. its a pretty beach area, with castles and alot of camp grounds..

Depends on when you want to go: If it is outside of high season (until September) nor during bank holidays, it should be fine not to reserve before.

For the months of JUNE;JULY and AUGUST make a booking,all other months you should be ok except the major cities.For later in the Year why not try Andalucia,malaga,costa del sol as the weather stays warm and sunny for much longer. Have a nice time touring Spain.
