Furthermore, it's too early to visualize America as another Latin country that provides plunder for Rome. That day is coming, on down the line, and won't Rome be surprised when they realize they lost 70% of their yearly income?

Maybe it's a little cynical and angry, but the US needs to apologize for a LOT of past injustices. With all the problems we have these days, sometimes I feel we are getting what we deserve.

When? In the 1840s? I'm pretty sure we paid Mexico for getting their land. It was 150 years ago. I think we'd have worse relations with Mexico if they weren't over it already.

All this apologising is idiotic.

Why should people be held responsible for what happened, unless they were there and actually committed a crime or atrocity. It is pointless constantly having to apologies, and the people you are apologising too weren't alive at the time either.

No doubt future generations will have to apolgise to the Iraqi's and Afghans who are currently planting IED's in order to blow Allied soldiers to bits.

I am sorry for all the crimes committed by the white man, he have fork tongue and be very bad.

No Thomas Jefferson bought it from France in the Louisiana Purchase fair and square before there was a Mexico.  So we didn't steal it Mexico never had it.
