Should Americans care what a guy wearing a funny suit and telling tales of virgin births has to say?

Comes forth pope what's his face to lecture the U.S., in spite of its clear standing as the most generous nation on earth. Why should Americans care, exactly, what a guy who tells tales about virgin births, burning bushes, wise men carrying frankensense and mur, a guy who splits seas, etc. has to say? I say, "Pope what's your face, drive your popemobile back to Vaticanville!!"

He's not hiding behind some anonymous internet connection as a self-proclaimed "freethinker".

religion was needed in the past to control previously uncontrollable people, it's time has passed and it now only serves to separate people and cause trouble..

every religion thinks theirs is "the true right way" there is NO "right way"..people need to just treat others how they would like to be treated, plain and simple..

My grandmother has forced me to attend church a couple times in my life and it was disturbing to see some of the people acting like they were posessed by god or jesus or whatever shaking and pretending to have a seisure or someshit like "the spirit was in them"..what a fcukin' joke..I felt like knocking those people out for being retards..

forcing religious beliefs on chilldren should be illegal as they have not developed a proper sense of..anything really..kids want to believe that their parents are smart and tend to believe what they believe..

The pope is here because during the last decade more Americans have left the church than ever before. Much of this loss is being made up by immigrant hispanics. He wants his illegals protected because that is his new base.

I'm glad that people still worship God first and foremost in this country, so I was glad to hear the pope being honored by the President of the US.  

But as a Protestant Evangelical, I don't really feel anything when I see a Catholic pope.  I'm glad he was honored in our great country though.
