  1. Whos dumber you or AL GORE

  2. Interesting idea. If nothing else it may cause people to stop and think about the issue, and not just shrug it off, or fall back on old answers and even older research.

But I don't think in the long run it would be a good idea.  There are a LOT of issues effecting 'global warming' and narrowing it down to atmospheric depletion/poisoning could cause people to forget those other issues.  it may even twist a person's reasoning into thinking that as long as they weren't depletion the ozone, they could do other kinds of pollution that would harm the ground water, or plant and animal life (though I realize they are closely linked and when one is damaged, the other is as well.)

Rather then give the problem a new name, people should give it a new look, and consider the new information that is out there, from both sides of the argument.

  3. I believe that "Global Hot Air" would be more appropriate.

  4. That is pretty catchy.

You should submit that to Al Gore and maybe he will invent it.

  5. global warming isnt related to just atmosphere. It effects bio diversity too.

  6. That doesn't really work. Global warming is neither depleting the atmosphere nor poisoning it. The result of adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere is an enhanced greenhouse effect.

However, if you feel that global warming isn't adequate, I suggest using the term "rapid global climate destabilization."

  7. It would work for me.

  8. How about "Global Warming, and you're all going to DIE!!!"

That sounds like it has a greater impact.

    CO2 is not a poison.

  9. No, because it is not depletion or poisoning.  Maybe they could change the term to Global Habitat Enhancement.  After all, a warming trend is most definitely to the benefit of people and other living things.

  10. no, global warming is a fairly accurate name. global= whole world , warming= getting hotter.

    edit

jello, CO2 is actually a poison. it is dangerous at 5% v/v. anyhow that has nothing to do with its roll in the greenhouse effect.

  11. Only if they outlaw obnoxious Yahoo IDs
