CA's budget is 2 months over-due and Arnold's main plan is to "temporarily" raise the sales tax. (No tax is ever temporary, so Arnold is a liar.)

"The work for the people of California, and to solve this budget problem, is the most important thing right now for me," Schwarzenegger said Wednesday during a news conference in Los Angeles.

Should hobnob with his buddies, fly in/out to make his speech or keep his butt in Sacramento?

  1. actually our very first income tax was a temporary tax, so that would make you a liar for claiming no tax is temporary.....

Taxes to pay for toll roads, sports stadiums, concert venues, etc. are all temporary too....

Arnold himself can do very little towards achieving a balanced budget other than what he is currently doing....cut the man some slack, he doesn't legislate, its not one of his powers.

    Obama in 2008

  2. He is a delegate

    so he must go

    if he doesn't

they will come and get him

it is part of his job to go

  3. It is the California Legislature that is stalling.

  4. if they want him there he should go, ''but it is up to him girlie man!'' lol

  5. He should stay home unless the budget is resolved.

  6. Why not attend the convention?  He doesn't have anything to do with the budget until the legislature gets done with it, and sends it to him for his signature.

  7. Of course he should go.  California is a lost cause, the land of fruits and nuts.  Where do you fit in?  Ask yourself, should Strickland, Richardson, et al and all congressional Democrats stay home or in Washington this week to do the people's business?  Four days away from that Califorina quagmire does not seem to me to be asking too much for Arnold to help support his party.  Anyway, he didn't get your state into that mess, the Democrats and their love of illegals, did.  Need I remind you of the great work that one Gray Davis did for you?

  8. AHNOLD is such a dweeb - do your job like you promised - no new taxes

  9. Arnold's lying @ss should stay in Sacramento and do the job we hired him to do. Stop this "temporary" c**p and cut the budget.

  10. I emailed Arnold and got an "up yours" response. I followed his suggestion and emailing my reps. I told them not to pass the budget with the tax increases.

We have a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Arnold is a bold faced liar and should do his job instead of partying with the GOP at the convention.

  11. So it's not the fault of your Democratic state legislature who refuse to pass your budget?  Interesting.  I've read that these are the people who are at fault.

Yes, he should hobnob with his buddies, maybe that will give them some time to finally get off of their butts.  Blame the people who vote on the budget, not on your governor!

  12. How about our Democrats here in Cali need to stop adding things to our budget that will simply benefit them and waste BILLIONS of dollars? How about instead of blame Arnold, blame those who aren't being responsible and doing their d**n job? I'm fed up with everyone always blaming the governor or President when they do NOT actually have nearly as much power as everyone seems to think. They only have certain responsibilities.

And Arnold has actually done a much better job than most would like to admit economically. He just pisses off the Unions because he doesn't just cater to them like everyone else (one big reason I'm glad he's governor).

  13. what I am angry about is Arnold lied to get elected. He promised no new taxes and he's reneged on that promise. Stay home an do your job!
