Someone told me that Australia has a duty to protect democrasy in the Asia-Pacific Region, so should Australia send in Troops to restore democrasy and democratic elections in Fiji, what happens if renegade Governments or Military coups elsewhere in the Pacic or South East Asia do the same? Or should we leave Fiji alone as its only a tiny Island way off our Coast? Frances problem?

  1. I believe Australia has no right to occupy Fiji. Fiji is an independent country and let us solve our problems ourselves for once without the 'help' of countries who pretend to understand Fiji.

  2. I wouldn't get wrapped up in that stuff at all.

The US does and we are now in a position where if we do something everyone complains and if we don't so something everyone complains.

  3. Perhaps if Fiji were to descent into utter chaos like the Solomon Islands or East Timor has in the past, it could be justified. Otherwise, it's not our job to go around policing the military dictatorships of the world.
