Should Australia become an independent country?

The staus is not clear. The Australia goverment has absolute authority over every ministry including defence but they have to appoint a Governor general. The Queen contunies to be the symbolic head but this levaes question unclear. How indpendent is Australia and since Australia is a prosperous nation. Is it time to call for referemdum and break away from Mother Britain

They did have a referendum and the Australian voted to have the Queen as head of state. It was in 1999 the referendum. So Australia decided to remain a constitutional monarchy
