  1. No. Dont change the name of the famous city. I would advice you to change the names of all notorious cities/localities which have given up their evil ways and become good.

  2. The politicians are nothing but a bunch of idiots. They have nothing else to do. What a bunch of bozos !

  3. Yes, bangalore should be renamed to Bengalooru.

    Bangalore is a Anglicised name.

I don't know , why people are opposing this.

Anyway, the name change has already happened.

Just, learn to start using Bengalooru , as 6 crore kannadiga's already use it since 1000's of years.

    cheers.

  4. Yes. I think this is a good change. Nothing wrong in restoring the local heritage and shedding the distortions introduced during the colonization.

The fact that the Bengalooru infrastructure is horrible is an orthogonal issue.

  5. Most certainly. Bangalore "SHOULD" be renamed Bengalooru.  Why not??

Dont mix issues like politicians, roads, etc.,.  All that is nonsense.  It has nothing to do with name change.  Name change doesnt take any time or money.  Constructing roads takes thousands of crores.  All that the name change takes is some politicians and officers signing few resolutions here and there.

The curious thing is, when these name changes happened in Bombay, Calcutta, Madras, Beijing etc., none of these so called intellectuals spoke about all this nonsense - roads, potholes, bridges, brand building etc...

Why do they talk about it now?  Why is it such a big deal now?

  6. Our politicians have thought a lot about roads, bus services, infrastructure and many things that a common man needs. Since they could not provide or improve the services to meet the needs of this modern era, they have decided to rename the Bangalore to Bengalooru so that every one realizes that Bangalore is not a city but a rural village called Bangalooru which needs to be developed and is still somewhere in 18th century.

  7. It is out of your hands

  8. i find bangalore btr

  9. Personally, I strongly feel that the government should give more stress to important matters related to development, infrastructure, rural reform etc. It should not get into overheads like these. Renaming Bangalore to Bengaluru wont make the city any better.
