Question:

Should Bears be looking for a QB?

This is just becoming horrible. Bears made the Superbowl primarly on the D and running back system they had going. Grossman was still horrible. Eli was horrible last year but at least when playoffs came around he stepped up and led his team to victory. Kyle Orton isn't good either. SO excluding Daunte Culpepper (we all know he wouldn't be the answer) what should the Bears do about the QB situation? I think they should use a 1st and 3rd round draft pick for Brady Quinn. He's good and that would be an offer the Browns couldn't refuse.

  1. well first off the browns arent going to trade b quinn and second off they shood get sum1 like warner

  2. Yeah.

My cat's available. She can't be worse than Grossman.

  3. I agree.  I am a little bewildered that the Bears front office didn't go after a touted QB.  I figured after dealing with Rex Grossman, it would have been on the top of the list.  The bears defense is good enough they they could do it even with a "manager of the offense", instead of a "franchise QB."  Similiar to the Ravens when they got Trent Dilfer.  My only guess is that they must have alot of faith in Orton.

  4. Why did they let Cris Leak go.

  5. ummm...yeah? they've needed a QB for like 15 years

  6. You know thru the history of the Bears organization they do not seem to focus on the Quarterback position. The best quarterback they ever had was Sid Luckman who played from 1939-50 and is in the Hall of Fame. They have had many other forgettable players like Jack Concannon, Bobby Douglas, Gary Huff, Bob Avellini, Jim Mcmahon and as of late Rex Grossman. Oh the shame of it all. They really focus on the defense above all.

  7. It's getting kinda late for that. Not only did not draft a QB but they didn't go after free agents this off season. Not too many starting QB options out there at this point. They could wait until the season starts to see what players will be dropped but I'm not sure they will be so lucky in getting a good Starter QB. Backup, sure; but we all know that isn't the problem. They kinda screwed themselves over. I dont see the browns letter either Quinn or Anderson go. They other would make a great backup qb on their roster. They browns are that desperate to late one of them go. They could have gone after Chad Pennington when he was released. At this point, Im not too sure what the bears are going to do.
