  1. He as suffered to much already,

But at the end of the day it is up to his parents.

  2. Maybe they haven't got to the 'no hope' stage yet.

  3. I agree with Ariana, his parents will no when the time is right to let him go, you can only watch your son suffer for so long and then you say goodbye. sad sad.

  4. i understand what you are saying & i haven't heard any news on this poor man today...but, i think unless you are in this situation...you can't really say - the whole case is a total tragedy...i am not sure i could turn off the life support of my son...it's too soon!

  5. Thankfully he is now at peace. RIP

  6. I don't know.

I personally wouldn't want to live out the remainder of my earthly life like a turnip.  No quality of life whatsoever.

  7. So who says there is no hope?

    Hope is all they have...

And he isn't a vegetable. Hes a son whos terribly ill. He could recover. There have been cases...remember Christopher Reeves. Did you call him a vegetable?? Paralysed neck down...but he had a life. Not the best...agreed...but a life worth living.

  8. its very hard to answer that, if he were my son im sure id be praying for miracles

  9. they should let him die if his heart stops it would'nt be fair to prolong his suffering

  10. Not at present, but if I was in that position I would no longer be able to communicate my thoughts.

  11. Unfortunately, there's no choice any more.

    R.I.P.

  12. Its too early to tell yet . And his parents have to be allowed in their hearts to say goodbye . If he is at that stage . If there is no brain activity I am sure they will do the right thing by him . And let him go

  13. That is an issue for his family to deal with. I don't feel speculation is appropriate or useful.

  14. As 'Cookie' stated, Ben Mullany has (according to the BBC), passed away. He'll suffer no more.

  15. Personall I would, but it is just a personal opinion. Just because my brain doesn't function is no reason for me to be killed off.

  16. The doctors have said that will know for sure if this poor guy is brain dead or not in the next 48 hours. If he is brain dead then I feel that the life support machine should be switched off but at the end of the day the final  decision will have to come from his family.

  17. He has died sadly BBC News 17.43pm Sunday. Very sad.
