  3. No, the ones that should be arrested are the idiots that would actually run a "bigfoot" story on a credible news channel, and the nuts who  waste their own time watching that trash.

  4. Cnn loved it, and people like that sort of thing. If there were laws about Morons, we would have no politicians.

  5. No, you can't arrest someone for being a moron.  They didn't do harm to anyone, they are just really stupid.  I do believe the police officer should be reprimanded at work.  That brought bad publicity to his department.

  6. With two wars going on and the threat of world war over the Russian invasion of Georgia, I welcome "news of the weird" whether it proves to be fake or not. These guys have a 7 foot, 500 pound SOMETHING. They offer to allow DNA tests on it. People have reported sighting such mythical creatures for centuries.

What if these former law enforcement officers actually FOUND something? Remember, it is the opinion of the majority of folks THAT HAVE NOT EXAMINED THE CORPSE that it is fake. We might as well wait around for someone to actually examine the thing and definitively say what it actually IS before condemning the story altogether.

Yeah, I agree, it's probably fake. Many of the things exhibited by P.T. Barnum were fake as well. I've seen his polynesian mermaid that was a shaved monkey sewn to the body of a fish. Are you suggesting the inventor of the modern circus and side show should have been imprisoned instead of being allowed to create The Greatest Show on Earth?

I don't see where any crime serious enough to warrant imprisonment has been committed even if it is a hoax. They are letting actual criminals out of overcrowded prisons to fit more actual criminals back in. I don't think bigfoot tricksters are dangerous enough to society to release robbers or rapists just to lock them up so that they cannot perpetuate entertaining hoaxes.

  7. There's no law against being a moron. Thank God, because all of us fall into that category from time to time. I don't know of any laws they broke, unless they made some sort of false report to the police. Making a false report to the press is just good fun. Most of the reporters today are so hot to be the next Woodward and Bernstein that they don't wait for evidence, they just want the headlines.

Actually, I think that what they did is kind of funny. I wish I could come up with some fake news story that would get me national attention, and at the same time, embarrass the heck out of some of the self-righteous members of the press.

  8. Nothing does worse to the community of Bigfoot, Lochness, or UFO hunters than the drivel put on by these morons.  I am skeptical, but at least keep it truthful.  Complete hoax.

    Take care,

Oh yeah, they should be skinned alive and put entrails just like they did for the fake big foot.  In addition, the police officer should be stripped of his duty forever.

  9.   You know, old Matt and Rick wouldn't tell a tall tale, would they? Being good ole country boys and all, I just can't see them telling a whopper like that just to get a little attention.I hear that if the DNA test show a real big foot, there's some group that is ready to offer them 10 million dollars for it.I may have to get that one out of the freezer that I bagged last year.

  10. I can't even figure out why anyone believed them or even gave them any air time.  According to the media, only two years ago they perpetrated another Big Foot hoax.  The evidence this time was beyond crude.  The body was badly decomposed while the head was fairly pristine.  Obviously these guys don't even spend enough time in woods to see that a dead animal's rate-of-rot is uniform for the head and the body.  Some Big Foot hunters these dudes are!  Yeah, they should at least have to pay a fine.

    H

  11. YES! They should be arrested. I will give them this, they are clever and it was interesting however they LIED. It is filing a false report and they used up resources to do it.

There has to be a law that makes what they did illegal.

  12. Actualy they are not morons but BRILLIANT......... Everybody wants to get famous...... And now they are plastered all over CNN, FOX news and the internet...... If the media wants to buy into there scheme then god bless them!!!!!!

  13. Scammers, stupid claim, arrested, morons???

I think they have put together an honest story so far (so far). Not once in the press conference did anyone avoid a question or answer a question in a contradictory way. Every single attempt by the skeptics has been answered in a logical fashion

    1. Only after they found the creature in June did they have anything to do with bigfoot websites

    2. The DNA tests came back as inconclusive (which would be logical for an unknown animal), human (which could be logical for a bigfoot), and a opposum (which is logical because the sample was taken from the stomach/intestines)

    3. Futher tests are planned by credible universities

    4. The finders were very clear that they do not know what this thing is. The guys who found it aren't really claiming this is "bigfoot" in the legendary sense but rather an unknown creature.

As it stands right, their findings are neither proven or disproven.

  14. Honestly, I'd like to hunt bigfoot

  15. World events like Britney forgetting her panties or Paris doing another star's boyfriend?

There's this thing called freedom of the press in America

They are free to pass on any story they deem not to be news worthy
