  1. I think that if Brett Favre hadn't announced his retirement, he should play. However, since he made that decision, the Packers have rallied around their new quarterback and have since moved on. It's not fair to the team to do that, even if you're Brett Favre.

I also know that since he has asked to be released from the Packers, he has put them in a terrible situation. Obviously he has had an amazing career with the Packers, and to basically announce that he would rather play with another team than the team that made him is a slap in the face. But then again, the Packers aren't going to exactly be keen on the idea of releasing their franchize player. If he does end up being released, hopefully he comes to Chicago, because Grossman sucks.

Brett Favre made the decision months ago to retire from the Packers, and I feel that he should honor that decision.

  2. he didn't actually retire because he did not fill out the papers

and how could you think he went out on top after he threw an interception to end his season

  3. I say he should play d**n it.

  4. he loves the game and is wanting to play again... i said whenhe retired he'll be back

  5. He wants to play.

He made a mistake in retiring.

He's healthy, and probably better than at least 20 other starting QBs in the NFL.

If he wants to play, the Packers should trade his rights to the team of their choosing.

Why play hard ball with him?

In the fantasy world, Chicago or Minnesota would be a whole lot sexier with Favre behind the wheel.  Immediate Super Bowl contenders...

  6. if he played he will be a good fantasy QB.

  7. I think he should stay retired. He went out on top, and it isn't as if he will get better over time. Comebacks frequently end badly!

  8. I hope he stays retired, I'm sick of hearing his name in the news.

If hecomes back and wants to start, it won't be for the Packers because they have been preparing their offense with Aaron Rodgers.

  9. Can't say it better than Pens. He should get up and play; for the Bills preferably ;)
