Question:

Should Brewers fans be worried

Is the four game butt kicking administered by the Cubs the start of their downfall? Are they even thinking about winning the division now? Or are they thinking wild card? Or is it just a little bump in the road that they will recover from right away? Let's not make this into a Cubs/Brewers hatefest, just opinions on what this means to them.

  1. prob wildcard bc if they cant beat the 1st place team in their division its gonna be hard to win the nl central

  2. Well, I definitely wasn't encouraged after this series...

The team seemed a little cocky when the road trip ended.

I'm hoping it just sent our guys back down to earth after our sweep of the Cardinals at Busch.

Just hope the pattern doesn't follow and the Cardinals sweep you guys at Wrigley. Lol.

I'd like to think we'll recover right away, but we have an uphill battle again. Currently our goal is the Wild Card, because the Cubs proved who is the better team right now.

  3. No, I'm not worried, and I don't think others Brewers fans are.

We just took care of the Braves, and have become a much better road team.  We just got a little, well, S****y when we played the Cubbies.

The Cubs figured us out though, and that's why they won.  WE CAN'T HIT BREAKING BALLS.  That's all there is to it.  The Cubs' pitchers almost never threw a fastball, and Brewers hitters couldn't adjust to it.

Once the Brewers can figure out how to hit a d**n curveball and lay off a pitch in the dirt, then we'll be fine.

  4. The Brewers should be embarassed for how they played after the 1st game of the series.  They looked like a minor league team compared to the Cubs.  Are the Brewers done?? No because they play in the same division as the Pirates, Reds with no pitching what so ever.  They desperately need bullpen help and probably another solid starter if they were to have a chance to compete at all the rest of the season.  Also the team lacks veteran leadership.  All of their main stars are younger guys that have never won anything.  Sabathia was a bonus but no savior.  They better hope that their bats catch fire against the falling injury depleted Braves this weekend otherwise they really could start falling out of it fast!!

  5. They need to "right the ship" in a hurry. The Phillies did the same thing to the Mets last year, and look what happened to the Mets.

  6. no big deal the brewers have to sweep the cubs at Wrigley

  7. Are the Brewers even a team still?

  8. Well, if they are any kind of proffessionals and have any desire, they're still aiming at the division title.  There is STILL 2 months left, roughly 50 games.  All sorts of things can happen in 2 months.  They are a good team with good pitching and they don't have to play the Cubs ALL the time.

  9. Well wouldn't you

  10. Well, I know some may consider my comparison apples to oranges, however the Rays had a 5 game lead and lost it in a week before the all-star break. So although the whipping is promising for the Cubs, you never know, they could let the Brewers right back in it.
