No Canada cannot afford to do Nukes, California already makes them and they want to become a country of their own.

Personally I don't think Canada really has the need to make nuclear weapons. I think in general its not very cost effective to build and maintain them. They are expensive to build, and even more expensive to maintain, and even more expensive to decommission. Canda has to technical capability to produce nukes if needed, and quite frankly produce them fairly quickly as well. In my opinion this is probably the best situation to be in. Canada can produce them if needed but doesn't have any of the problems of actually having them.

Should Canada update miltary tech. - there is nothing more expensive then coming in second in a war. Modern weapons and equipment make it much more likely that will not happen

No. As a NATO member Canada benefits from "nuclear sharing". Which means that the U.S. provides them with various weapons.

Nah, not a very good idea. At the rate they are turning over operations to Muslims, better not to have really screwed up stuff available to them.

I doubt that Canada wants to build nukes. It's expensive and Canada doesn't have the funds to start from scratch.

Canada could upgrade some of their weapons, etc., but why? They never get into a major war.

Didn't Canada sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Pact?  Of course they would find it easy to steal nuclear secrets from the USA and build a bomb on the sly, since they are Practically Americans!
