If it is that easy then why not? They can sell the bananas and the Earth needs more trees =D

Canada can not expect smooth and uniform warming. In fact we can expect major disruption of arctic air spilling down over Canada of a long time. Large storms pushing air into the arctic by necessity will displace arctic air into more temperate zones.

When the arctic gets to have no ice formation during winters, we might expect that from that time forward there would be no frigid arctic air being pushed or pulled south. That event is further away than the life expectancy of a banana tree. So, no banana trees for Canada for at least 30 years. Also don't plan on frost free gardening where you have not had it in past for a long while yet.

Canadians cannot plant banana trees for the simple reason that there is no such thing. The banana plant isn't a tree.

Trees take awhile to get going.  Start them in greenhouses.  If nothing else, you can probably make some good money at it.

Yes, Al Gore talks about that in his upcoming book. Eventually, you can add coffee and tobacco plants. What else will you need then?

No. Considering it isn't going to stop global warming. But, trees are good and so are bananas.
