  1. Definately, It teaches them that if they want things in life they have to work for them.

  2. It is not a bad idea. I know kids who always had to be home at a certain time to do their chores for which they were paid. Growing up, my family did not always have a lot of money. So for the most part, we did chores because it was the thing to do in a family and it helped the parents out who also both worked at the time. It instilled in us a goo working attitude and not to be slobs. Once in a while, we would receive a little money for doing chores when our parents could afford to pay us. With the families who always paid their kids to do chores, it was a good idea as well because it motivated them to clean their rooms and clean up behind themselfs and to help out in the yard, etc... But I have noticed in my adult life, that some of the kids who received money for chores, not all of them, but some of them become lazy adults who are very messy at home, in the dorms, in the barracks, etc... And when you ask them how could they live in such filth, their aswers were all the same. They would say that nobody is paying them to clean up, do the work, do any chores. So they do nothing.

  3. Yes they should ..... it teaches them the value of money, responsibility, and respect ....... = )

  4. I agree with the other two answers, but I say, much work - much money, little work -  little money, no work -  no money.

  5. h**l yeah teach'em no work no money

  6. Yes, they should, even if it's only some small chore. It helps them to learn the value of money, and that things in life are not always free.
