Should Chris Bosh be in the starting lineup for Team U.S.A. ONLY for the game against China on Sunday?

The reason I ask this question is because in the game aginst China the fromcourt for the Chinese team includes Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian, you are above 7 feet tall. Acording to the roster, the player starting at PF is Carmelo Anthony and he is only 6'8. Chris Bosh is 6'11 and is a defensive monster, who will shut down Yi, along with Dwight Howard at center, who will shut down Yao, due to the fact that the two big men will be getting the ball alot in the low post.

I dont think it all matters much.  China wont even be in the game long enough to make enough noise off of Carmelo.

But if it was a real competiiton then Bosh shoudol be starting PF.

Chris Bosh is amazing. He should be their starting PF in every game. Carmelo is good but is not a 4 and does not have the same defensive ability (and team USA has plenty of scorers). Either Bosh should be the PF with James the SF or Lebron at PF with Melo at SF.

That's not a terrible idea, but I still disagree. Melo is a good four inches shorter than Yi Jianlian, but he's just as strong. Besides, Yi plays about ninety percent of his offense facing the basket. I think Melo will be able to handle him fine. And on the offensive end, Melo of course spreads the defense more, so assuming China doesn't play zone, Melo will take Yi's height to the perimeter where it can't guard against penetration.

no he wont be able to match with yao ming. chris bosh is only a power forward. The are going to start dwight howard who is a true center and will give yao problems with his size and length.

Ideally that would be a better line up if you had to only pick 1 line up.  Chris bosh is better than carmelo anthony overall no matter how you put it.  Bosh is underrated as he is on a Canadian team.  However the reason why he cant be a starter is cuz he needs to play back up for Howard.  We only have 1 true center and bosh or boozer is basically our only back up for that position.  So although bosh's natural position is PF, in a short team like Team USA, he plays a more center type position.  

However it does not matter at all.  We could pretty much put a variety of line ups at China and still win.  China is not a big competitor and is no threat to Team USA unlike Spain or Argentina.  Should be an easy win for Team USA save a huge miracle.  That or yao ming and Yi become overwhelmed with national pride and suddenly go into super overdrive clutch mode and score 50 points a piece.  Yao ming and Yi  both did have tremendous performance in their first meeting in the NBA game.  They knew that a lot of Chinese people was watching that game.  Now that they working together with entire China watching them with national pride, they might just become godlike.

Although personally, I dont think China's basketball team has a chance.  They simply do not have the talent pool to compete against USA.  Look to team China 2 decades later when basketball has become one of their most popular sport.  Basketball has had tremendous growth in China and it is inevitable that we will start seeing more Chinese stars in the NBA.
