With the increasing number of credible witnesses coming forward and sharing their experiences with the press should congress launch an investigation and begin public hearings to determine if these claims are true and if there is evidence to support them?

  1. I don't know if UFO's exist. But it's 100% proven that Area51 exists!

  2. That would seem counterproductive to the government's attempts to discredit such reports.

  3. The purpose of Congressional hearings is to gather information to be used in crafting legislation or to exercise its oversight authority on Executive Branch agencies that operate under U.S. law. When someone can point out that the existence of UFOs will assist in crafting legislation or be useful in its oversight authority over Executive Branch agencies I'll be one of the first to call for such hearings. Otherwise, there is no Congressional role in this silly affair. Comedy Central doesn't want competition from C-Span!

  4. In all honesty, even if there are more and more credible witnesses and whatnot, at this point in time, I'd really rather congress hold hearings on a vast many other issues before they get to the UFO's.

  5. Sure...right after they finish wasting our time and money managing baseball
