Should Cotto fight in Vegas?

Being that all great fighter fight in vegas do you think it would benefit cotto to fight in las vegas to expand a fan base or show maywheather he is willin to fight there

yea, so they can use the 10oz. gloves intsted of the 8oz. ones they use in the east coast. that way the fight can last longer

Cotto has a huge Puerto Rican fan following based in New York and on the East Coast.  That's not to say that the huge Mexican fan base in Vegas wouldn't turn out in droves for Cotto/Margarito, but if they want to close Yankee Stadium with a huge fight, Cotto and Margarito could actually sell out the old ball park.  I know I definitely would be there for that one.

No, Cotto has trouble filling the house in NYC where there is a sizable Puerto Rican population. He doesnt have a fan base in Nevada.  It would weaken his position if he made a fight out there and the ticket #s werent great.

I don't think he needs to fight in Vegas........... if that were the case then you could say the same thing about Vegas fighters and that they need to fight on the east coast to get a larger fan base............I think everyone is well aware of who Miguel Cotto is by now.......... every one of his fights are on HBO so he is getting the exposure that he needs.

100% Yes..I don't know why his management team hasn't put him in vegas already. This isn't the 70's..madison square garden doesn't cut anymore..If he doesn't fight Margarito in vegas it will be shame.
