  1. What's a fine going to do?  Nothing.  It would be pocket change for these guys, and whatever he paid out, it would be well worth it.  It is painfully obvious that he did it simply to let Kyle get caught back up to the leader.

Loss of points and/or suspension....it's the only punishment that gets these guys attention.

  2. Well Kyle and Denny are team mates, this was so stupid, Denny could have made it to the pits got the tire changed before it totally went down and made it back out onthe track and probably would have had a top 10 finish...but NO, he decided to be stupid and help Kyle win the race, glad they did park him for 2 laps, but yes the crew chief and driver need more 25 pts from driver and 25 owner pts, and maybe a couple race suspension for the crew chief, cause if they don't every one else will figure hey they got by with it, hey lets us give it a try....Yes, this was a dumpa** call of the race by Denny and Mike Ford..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  3. I blame the Crew Chief. When Denny said the tire was going down they should have gone immediately in and changed it. There were still enough laps left to have come back up. He had the car to beat.

  4. On the TV broadcast, they played a comment from his spotter that his tire looked fine and the pit chief saying to make sure it was a flat.  The TV announcers were also not sure when they looked at the tire if was flat or not.

So if your Denny, it's a call of trusting your instincts or the crew you've got.  With the end so near in sight at a track where a win means so much to the driver and conflicting information; I'd allow anyone a couple lap indecision.

As for intentionally drawing the caution, I think the answer could be answered by reviewing the the conversations between Denny and his spotter.  Is the spotter telling him to wait?  We don't know.  If FOX gets to listen in to those conversation, I'm guessing NASCAR does as well and if they suspect anything truly foul, they'll act.

  5. Well i was there at Richmond and yeah he should be fined..many many many fans we disapointed when the caution came out. That would have been a great ending of the race if Denny  would have just hit pit road.

  6. whether his crew chief called him in or not, if you have a flat tire, REGARDLESS of who it is, you need to pit before you cause damage to your own car, not to mention someone else's car as well. As a denny hamlin fan since the beginning of last season, he should be fined

  7. NASCAR needs to do SOMETHING to keep this from happening again.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  8. yes and a large fine so that it hurts everyone involved in that team!! i used to think denny was a pretty decent person but he has become just like those busch punks!!

  9. He and Kyle Busch should be forced to fist fight to the death.

  10. Denny was just trying to finish the race and hoping the tire would hold together long enough to do that.  He was penalized for stopping by sitting for 2 laps in the pits.

  11. I blame his crew chief for not calling him in when he told them he had a flat tire. He ran several laps before the tire blew. There should not be any fines for causing the caution. You can do a lot of damage to a race car by running on the rims. He was penalized 2 laps which probably cost him a lot of points. He would have only lost one had he come in for tires.

  12. His true colors came out after that stunt. He's lost a lot of respect from fans and competitors alike, that's penalty enough.

  13. 2 laps was good enough.

  14. SHOULD he be fined, dam straight Skippy!!

    Will he be fined, nope.

But they parked Mikey Waltrip for getting pissed when that numb-nuts ran right across his nose...

    It just ain't right.

  15. NO, he should not be fined

  16. I go back and forth on this since I am a fan of Dale Jr., he must have thought he could limp around and have a top ten finish, once he was past the top ten he should have gotten off the track to get it fixed.

  17. He was penalized 2 laps for doing it but more importantly he should have come in right away before the tire went all the way flat.................Not too smart on his or the crew chiefs part. If it was going downit wasn't going to reinflate!

  18. Without a doubt. Anytime someone stops on purpose on the track fines/suspensions should be leveled. this only makes a race longer and you have a unnecessary caution.

  19. Yes he should.

I'm tired of them getting little slaps on the wrists for doing obviously intentional sh^t.

    FINE EM!

  20. You bet he does!  hmm  Wonder if him being best friends with Shrub have anything to do with it?  Wonder...

    YES he Does!

  21. yes but like was already said he will have lost a lot of respect come darlington.

  22. I agree with you 100% ! He should be fined and docked points for that stunt the effected the outcome of the race.
