  1. i have forgiven them if we have a chance to make finals further. but who knows i would love them back everyone has forgiven except people who dont want collingwood to win

  2. no way

  3. No way, the credibility of the Collingwood Football Club would be in ruin if they did

  4. yes. but collingwood doesnt want to because they will know they are going to be hated more but yes they should!!

  5. Yes.

Forget all the tripe about sending the wrong message to the players and community. Football is a business and there's no room for sentimentality.

The players who re-offended with their behaviour have served their time and deserve a chance to help the club in the finals.

I'm sure the other players will accept this decision because, deep down, they know they were the ones unlucky enough to get caught out, as most AFL footballers "play up" from time to time.

    Hope this helps your opinion.

  6. Yep, that way when the Magpies get beaten first week of the finals they won't have any excuses!!

  7. OMG wouldn't that create some questions!! I guess it is something that Collingwood have to weigh up: Are they prepared to cop the inevitable c**p that will come with that decision???? I think Collingwood may need them on the weekend.

EDIT: One q Lively blues... When did Ben Cousins get arrested? He did once for running away from a Booze Bus and he got his punishment for that. Can't actually think of when he was arrested after that though. HMMMMM.......

  8. Absolutely, if not, Collingwood have no chance...

Hang on, on second thought, it's gonna make no difference. They don't have a hope anyway after that insipid performance against Freo.

  9. Yes, they should.

What they do outside football, should be left alone. They are football players and should be available to play football.

That's my opinion. These guys have lives too. Everyone makes mistakes. We learn from our mistakes.

  10. If Collingwood take a step backwards, and take away the suspension, we will never hear the end of it. The Pies just need to stick by their original decision.

  11. Nah, thats just the easy way out and i know and im sure many of you know that thats not how collingwood work. They are a proud club and wont stand for things to take place (as the didak/shaw event did) - they are strong enough to not need them back and malthouse will not bring them back - they deserve to wait till next season.

  12. What they actually did, if told to the admin straight away, would have had them back for the finals. They still have to answer for it in court - unlike, for example, one B. Cousins.

They are serving extra time because they made Eddie and Mick and even Scott Burns look like dills, which they are not - I barrack for Essendon, and respect where it's due.

The above three impressed the whole community when they resolved, and stuck to, suspending Shaw and Didak. If they back down now, they will not regain this respect. As managers, they need the moral conviction to govern a group of lads, some of whom aren't able to act responsibly without guidance(like any group of 20-somethings, I'm not bagging Collingwood.)If they show themselves as expedient - doing something because it's convenient rather than right - they lose the power to manage effectively.

I hope they make the right choice.

And incidentally, I hope Collingwood - with Daisy Thomas back? - pulverise the Swans - who've had a very easy run from the AFL this year.

  13. I would actually like to see it, they have missed out on what like 8 weeks, they have learnt there lesson

  14. **No because I think that's sending the wrong message to the players.**
