Question:

Should England drop Vaughan??

Vaughan has now scored a grand total of two against South Africa (falling for a duck in the first Innings of the Second test). If he wasn't the Captain it would have been him not Collingwood who was dropped to make way for Flintoff.

Is it time for Vaughan to resign as Captain so he can make way for someone who can score at no. 3 in the batting order or should the selectors just drop him without waiting for him to resign the Captaincy?

  1. No he shouldn't, he should be afforded the chance to show what he can do and to see if he can regain his form (and besides it wasn't all that long ago that he scored a century against NZ). Collingwood has been out of form for a lot longer than Vaughan has and it was right that he made way. I don't see the point in chopping and changing the team to much and too often.

And I doubt the selectors would drop Vaughan before the Ashes, they'll probably give him the chance to regain them and then he'll probably retire anyway.
