Should England have picked James Foster, Flintoff and Simon Jones?

I think Collingwood should've gone and one of Anderson or Broad (both good on their day, but inconsistent and both capable of going for a packet!) Foster in instead of Ambrose. Prior would've been better even.

  1. Flintoff: Yes. He is a world class player, he is fit, in form with bat and ball, and would give a whole new impetus to the team.

Foster: Hmmm. I agree that he is a better 'keeper than the present incumbent, but I think that position has been messed about with far too much.

Jones: No. Is in red hot form, but has come back after a career threatening injury lay-off, and has been used very sparingly by Worcestershire this year. He would need to prove his fitness over a longer period of time before I would have him back in the England side. At the moment his risk-factor is too high, and he could potentially be a liability. You can't afford passengers at that level.

  2. Ok, I dun think you've really got anything right. It's all clear from England .. they will pick Freddie will enuf practice, fully fit & all ready to go! ..He's expected to come in 2nd Test or 3rd..!! Ambrose is a good lad for Tests but yeah, Prior is the best keeper in Tests for England. Simon Jones hasnt hit the form cos of injuries that keep ruinning him. The only decision that you can question is of a wicket-kepper....Because, England doesnt want to rush in Freddie to lose him again!!

  3. Simon Jons is good enough to make a differece

  4. I don't understand, if Flintoff is fit, why didn't they at least pick him? I don't know anything about Jones, but KooKee always speaks highly of him. Time will tell if they have made the right decision.

  5. no
