“There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous,” the apostle Paul declared. ( Acts 24:15)

Are we to assume that the " Unrighteous" are Born again as well?

Your Thoughts?

  1. you have to be born again in order to go to heaven. it says so in the Bible. you have to believe in Jesus Christ and be baptised.

  2. Just what does it mean to be born again? If you are baptized is this what happens as soon as you come up out of the water? What is it like to be born again?

God showed us what it is like to be born again, yet I haven't seen nobody after he or she is baptized do this.  John 3:6-8.

If you just read this scripture then you now know what it is going to be like when your born again. After one is baptized have you seen anyone doing this?

In verse 6 as you read we are what? After being baptized what are we? So can we do what verse 8 says what we can do after baptized?

Being Born Again is something very interesting and something very misunderstood by many.

I have a deeper study on it if you would like.  Just e-mail me and I will see if I can look it up and send it your way. As long as you promise me that you will follow it with your Bible.

As God tells us, 1 Thessalonians 5:21 "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."

Don't take my word for nothing as well as anyone you know. Follow His advice and you can't go wrong.

    Have a Blessed Day.

  3. As Jesus talked with Nicodemus, He said "...Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again...." (John 3:3-7).

The phrase "born again" literally means "born from above." Nicodemus had a real need. He needed a change of his heart--a spiritual transformation. New birth, being born again, is an act of God whereby eternal life is imparted to the person who believes (2 Corinthians 5:17)

  4. "You  must be born again to enter the kingdom of God. You must be born again of water and spirit'

    Jesus' words not mine.

The resurection is NOT being born again. The bible tells us what it means in Roman 6

1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

5If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. 6For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

8Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

11In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness. 14For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.

  5. You must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven. Bottom line.

  6. The word "again", as used in the verse you mention, is #509 in Strong's Greek Dictionary, and means "from above", "from the beginning (very first)".  We don't have anything to do with either birth.  God alone has that power.

    edit:

Romans 1:20, says that we can clearly see and understand the invisible (spiritual) things of God through the things which He created.  We have no part in our natural conception, which is the visible for our invisible birth, therefore, we have nothing to do with our spiritual birth either.  God alone has the power to give life.

  7. In John 3.1-17 Jesus said that everyone who expects to enter the kingdom of heaven, "must be born again".

Paul declared that there will be a general resurrection, the righteous raised to enter heaven, and the unrighteous raised to be judged and condemned to eternal separation from God.  See Revelation 20.11-15 and Mark 9.42-48.  Those condemned are going to be sent to a lake where there is no fishing.

  8. The resurrection is not where we are "born again." You are born again when you accept Jesus as your savior. In John chapter 3 Jesus talks to Nicodemus about this very thing. So I think being born again is the only way you become a christian.

  9. Jesus christ is the persononification of an astrological event. 200 "christs" were born of a virgin died for three days and rose again.over the last 6,000 years or so. Beginning with Horus the egyptian GOD of the SUN(son) 5,000 years ago. Krishna, born of a virgin died on a cross was buried 3days and rose again. This is so repeated throughout history 200x before our latest, Jesus who was voted on by romans circa 300ad in nice Italy just outside Rome. Thus the nicean creed.

  10. The Resurrection will be the Judgment. This is in Revelation.

Being born again involves leaving your sinful nature behind. Repentance is not for a day. It is for good.

  11. Yes every one will be resurrected from the dead but only those who are born again will go to heaven. Everyone else will burn in h**l FOR ETERNITY!!!

    Jesus rocks.

  12. Nobody is a Christian until they accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Good deeds don't make u a Christian, which is what many people think. U must be born again to be a son of God.

  13. The resurrection of the unrighteous will be to contempt and everlasting shame and eternal punishment and torment in h**l. Without the forgiveness of Christ for your sins, that is EXACTLY where you are headed.

Jesus said, "except  man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3

If you have not come to the Saviour for forgiveness for your sins, you are spiritually dead. You are a dead man.

There are 2 births. Your first birth was from your Mother's womb. The second birth is when one comes to Christ for forgiveness of sins and is BORN AGAIN of the spirit of God. Unless that has taken place, you can abandon all hope if you die in your sins. Once your heart stops beating, it's over baby. The Bible says, "As it is appointed unto man ONCE to die and after that comes judgement." Hebrews 9:27.

We are all one heartbeat away from being in judgement!  If you die in your sins, and in your disbelief, you are condemned already., and just like the story of the rich man and Lazarus in the Bible, you will lift your eyes being in torments! h**l is where you will find yourself immediately after death. All those condemned will be delivered up on the last day to be judged by the degree of sins you have committed. After that, h**l will be delivered up to be judged along with Satan and then cast into the lake of fire where the fire is never quenched and their worm never dies!

  14. It's "ye"(do err, greatly and alway) who "must be born again"; And born again is notably only to "see" the kingdom of God (is within you); But entering is another matter of no partialty: all enter by grace or none enter by law. And born again is notably of "incorruptible" seed: grace, not corruptible seed: law. As for Christ-ians, being such is about being Christ-like, or dying to the Law to become alive unto Grace, eternally. The only other option is dying by the law, which is not suffered to continue by reason of death, which law is the source and strength of.

    Mt 22:29... Lk 17:21... Jn 3:3... Rom 2:11...1Cor 15... 1Pet 1:5

  15. God is not a respect of person. he said it will rain on the just and the unjust.

  16. Hello,

Great question. The people that are resurrected aren't born again. We are simply raised for judgement.

As you said, it will be both good and bad people. After that, God will judge according to their life and his laws, and acceptence and forgiveness.

Do you have to be born again? In the sense that you live one way, and you completely turn from your ways. I am certainly much different then I was 6 years ago, so I suppose I have been "born again."

It is a matter of looking at your own flaws (in reference to what the bible states are "sins"), and correcting them in yourself. You then become a new creation, with a new purpose and a new view on life.

  17. No one will come unto the Father and become righteous (right doing) without doing as Christ commanded, to repent and be baptized for the removal of sins and then to live faithful until death.  Matthew 28:18-20 Mark 16:16    Then Peter said the same.  Acts 2:38 and 1Peter 3 and 2Peter 3   Then Paul told of his conversion and it is the same in Acts22:16  Each example of conversions in the New Testament is the same.  Anyone who becomes a Christian must follow the discipline and commands of Christ or they are not of Christ.
