Should Gary Glitter come home?

Glitter has said that he might go to another country to start making music again. Should he come here where we can keep him on the s*x offenders register, or go to another country instead?

Well the way i view this is, would i be happy if a foreign national paedophile came to the UK to live ?  My answer is no, i'd say he should go back to where he came from. So to me he should come to the UK so we can keep a close eye on him :)

Much as a hate to say it about a sick pervert he has served his time and as he is a UK citizen can't be denied entry. Some other countries may have him if they do good luck to them they are no better than him.

I have been watching this this morning on gmtv. Apparently, if he wants to travel to another country he first has to apply to the government as you are not allowed to keep your passport and all travel has to be requested and allowed. He will have to sign the s*x offender register and that is on a scale as to whether any travel is allowed. Obviously nonses are at the top of the scale.

Who would want to buy his music now anyway eh

Personally I believe that he should be kept in jail for life - as with all s*x offenders, but seeing as the law is (on the whole) ridiculously lenient on such offenders and eventually providing they do not die in prision they are let back into main stream society. Thankfully in Australia we have the s*x offenders register but really it is at the end of the day just a register and does not prevent these offenders from re-offending it just lessen's thier exposure to children and child-related employment.

Given the opportunity I believe that most of these s*x offenders will offend again, in fact a very good girlfriend of mine AND her grandmother were assaulted back in the 90's by a man who years before had raped and killed a girl in brisbane and gotten away with the crime as two witnesses couldn't get thier times right! ( he even taunted my and her grandmother with images of this dead girl whilst raping them ( her grandmother later killed herself due to the traumatic memories) he was prosecuted for thier rapes and that  of another young girl but he could not be tried again for the murder has he had already been aquitted! Thankfully he is still in jail but he was on a register the first time - and he killed and got away with it then went on to rape again so in answer to your question - no keep Glitter out of our country and all others and castrate him to boot! and as a final measure put him on a register and make him have to wear a shirt with "I'M A s*x OFFENDER"emblazoned on it!

He needs to be monitored so I with great reluctance say yes. But asking a paedophile to stop is akin to asking me to alter my sexuality from 'straight' to g*y, not gonna happen.
