He may have served his sentence in Vietnam but should he be arrested, prosecuted and spend the rest of his miserable life behind bars if he ever dares return?

  1. No, he's done his time for his crime, in the eyes of the Law Justice has been served wether we like it or not.

However he is a sick paedo scumbag who shouldn't be even let into this country. No doubt the UK Govt will rehouse him near a Primary School under a new identity at the taxpayers expense.

  2. There is a mechanism for this. The idea is that s*x offenders can be prosecuted in the UK for crimes they have committed elsewhere without punishment. It is, however, problematic. It would be a difficult "fair" trial as the witnesses etc are in Vietnam & there is not a jury in the land that have not been prejudiced by the press coverage.

He is, however, a dirty filthy old man who will be watched like a hawk when he gets home. Hopefully he will never get the chance to perv on little girls again.

    xx VP

  3. If he has committed an offence here in the UK then there should be a warrant for his arrest.  If he has committed no crime in the UK unfortunately we must wait until he does before he can be prosecuted.

What made me (apart from his vile crime) sick was the smirk on his face from the video footage that was shown on the TV like he had done something clever.

Unfortunately people are not arrested for what they might do we have to wait until there is another victim/s before the police can take action.

  4. No he should not face any criminal charges, THAT WOULD BE TO EXPENSIVE for the British Taxpayer.

He should be put  in a room, beaten by parents who have had their children molested/Sexually assaulted. Then the "Smug" peado B******D should be shot.

Thats justice, for all the young children he has molested and taken away their innocence.

If this is not done "THE SMUG SICKO" will believe you me, do it again.

  5. Yes he should....absolutely. Who's to say that he wont do the same despicable act when he is in the UK. Just because he (and I'm saying 'he' in the loosest sense of the word!) has served the sentence in Vietnam, it doesn't stop him being a criminal. I don't think the authorities should even let him back into the country! Where-ever he goes, no parent will ever feel safe. The only thing that is on that paedophiles side is his human rights! He shouldn't even have that because he is just a callous perverted and dangerous monster and calling him a human is an insult to the rest of the human race! I'm ashamed to be the same nationality as him! There should be a 'welcoming' party for him, all to welcome him to his DEATH!! A leopard NEVER changes his spots! That's my opinion, anyway.

  6. No just cut off his b@lls and that thing between his legs

  7. He should be shot in the head !!!

  8. No, he's gonna b on the s*x offenders register for life and get watched... he done his time in Vietnam... English prison would be like the Ritz...

  9. Considering some of the hate comments just on this board, and no doubt amplified among pretty well every tabloid-reading Brit, I think there is a good case for Glitter to claim political asylum anywhere that would take him.

Maybe many of those currently baying for his balls ought to be facing criminal charges themselves for causing a Breach of the Peace?  I truly believe they are doing far more damage to society than they realise, and are responsible even more than paedophiles for this culture of hate and fear that is keeping kids shut up in their bedrooms and quite incapable of handling the world and their sexuality when they become teenagers.

  10. Yes, but you can't be done for the same crime twice

  11. In law, no - his crimes were abroad.

However, I doubt he's going to be safe anywhere in the UK, be it prison or on the streets.  He's gonna be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, and that's gotta miserable with interest.

Ans besides, having a reputation like his has got to be worse than prison, surely?

  12. He is always going to be a constant danger to children , He is the worst and most dangerous type of pedo because he believes he has a perfect right to interfere with children and wonders what all the fuss is about . To release this piece of rubbish onto our streets is a criminal act by this or any other government , the only way he will be no danger to children is to chain him too wall of give parents the right of redress against his person , then and only then when he feels the there rage and pain will it stop him.And as for those that wish to dishonorate this piece of rubbish.  all i can say is are you on the same planet as me surly the damage to children that can never be healed and will be with them all there lives would enrage a wooden top . As for the wally that wants to honor him because of a crapy song i am lost for words.

  13. Placed on the s*x register and at the bottom of NHS care which he wants.

  14. Judging by the Home Offices record, he will probably get a job running a child's home!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Absolutely!

Just because he's a celeb who had *thinks* well, one or two cool hits shouldn't exempt him from what he did to those children

    Justice first

  16. For what exactly? I think he should be banned from travelling for a start, but prison won't do any good. The fact is, Gary Glitter is bloody good at making music and putting on incredible live shows that have never been since his laptop was taken into PC world.

He needs treatment, the tragedy that this has never been offered and he was allowed to go around abusing children around the world is bloody shocking. Our authorities should hang their heads in shame. As for Glitter, he should stop being such a nonce and get a decent album back on our shelves. I wouldn't buy it, but I think he needs the work to give him some renewed focus!

  17. He cannot be charged for a crime in this country unless he committed the crime in this country.  Surely.  However this man should be on the s*x offenders register, as I have no doubt he will be.

Personally I think he should be castrated, but that's my opinion.

  18. No, he was prosecuted for something he did in Vietnam, and he's also been punished for that crime.  He's on the offenders' register here, and until (if) he commits another crime, he should be left alone by the public and let the police do their job to ensure he doesn't break the law again.

  19. Arrested and prosecuted for what?

I don't think you have got your head around how the law works. However much you despise someone, you can not arrest them for simply being a bad person. Gad is not currently wanted for any crime.

  20. Yes lock the scum away for good.

  21. yeah

  22. Yes, this perv should be locked up until he is dead.  No cure his disease except death.

  23. I believe all paedophiles should be put to sleep.

    Joe.

  24. I thought the purpose of Yahoo Answers was to enable individuals to express their OWN opinions and not simply to regurgitate the views of the Tabloid Press. Expressing an opinion requires some degree of rational thought.

  25. The police are keeping a close eye on him, and have said that there are matters still unresolved where he is concerned. How we can let this disgusting paedophile back on British soil is beyond me. Wish he would crawl away and die

  26. Gary Glitter can only be described as the 'pits' of humanity! The lowest of the low!

The awkward point about it is!People like him are thought more of and will receive more sympathy than the honest nurse, social worker, policeman and our brave soldier men and women who put their lives on the line every day in places like Iraq and Afghanistan!Because of political bungling and incompetence!

    Yes!It is an unequal world!

  27. Understand what you mean, but he has served his punishment in Vietnam - you can't keep punishing someone for the same crime.

  28. His attitudes to minors makes him a risk , he should not be allowed into Britain because of his high profile and the likelihood of selling his story to newspapers and making money from it , he may see coming back to the UK as being a legitimate thing to do but I think this will disturb many people.

  29. No curator of a song to the regard of "Rock and Roll Pt. 2" should ever face criminal charges.  Gary Glitter needs to be immortalized here in the UK to show the rest of the world what we've created!

  30. no. unless he has committed a crime again this country.  other criminals arenot persecuted for their crimes in this country. and many criminals have early release for worse crimes such as murder.
