It was Hackett's last attempt at gold, and to get a hatrick in gold at 1500m. He gets silver, losing to a Tunisian doping person. Is this wrong?

  1. He gave it all he had and came up short on the day.  There's no right or wrong in that.  The Tunisian, whether he did dope in the past or not (I understand he took something to study for exams, so we should give him the benefit of the doubt - anyway, he served his time), is certainly not on drugs now (or at least the tests say so), so bad luck to Grant.

Was it wrong for Hackett to have denied Perkins his third 1500m gold in Sydney?

  2. no, he had fun and tried his best

You could see he was disappointed but hes taking it the wrong way. Australia just wants its Olympians to have fun and try their best

  3. He wasn't banned for life.

  4. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggg I hate this bad sportsmanship. The Tunisian was banned for amphetamine use (most likely used for recreational purposes) but did his time. I mean if the authorities thought that his crime warranted a longer ban they would have given it to him.

Grant Hackett misjudged his race and was beaten fair and square. HE is still close ot the greatest ever 1500m swimmer but he as beaten fairly on this occasion
