Blacks Learning 'Goldwater Girl' Hillary Was AGAINST

the Civil Rights Act of 1964....Feel Deceived !

An article by Washington columnist Robert Novak (Google: 'Hillary, King, Goldwater) reveals that Hillary Clinton was a staunch supporter of Sen. Barry Goldwater (who was adamently against the civil rights act and a segregationist) during the same period she claims in all black church appearances that she was for the civil rights movement. Blacks feel that it was impossible for Hillary to have been a Goldwater Girl and pro civil rights at the same time which leads to the assumption that Ms. Clinton is re-inventing her past. Many blacks feel deceived by The Clintons. Should Hillary Clinton make a public apology to blacks ?

  1. All of you are ignorant. This is whay America is in the situation we are in. All of you should apologize and move on. This is why we can't get ahead. Everyone is too busy trying to hate one another. Every other country in this world sticks together and we are the only country that is too busy being stuck in our own worlds. Wake up and take a look at what's going on around us. And if you don't think that there are changes to be made, then I will apologize for you. Let's stop the arguing and start really looking into this whole situation. Let's think about today and tomrrow and not worry so much about yesterday. This stuff is history and will never happen again. Let's focus on the issues of today and figure out how to make a change so that we don't end up with another mistake for a president. Regardless of who you chose to vote.

  2. Would anyone listen if she did explain or apologize?

IMO --I believe she was misunderstood. I think she was trying to demonstrate how nobody gets something without the help of others. i.e. Team playing has no color, --except for the color of the shirt of the team that you are on.

She may have meant it this way....If it wasn't for those, that just happen to be white, then those rights may not have been ratified until a later date; however, because many politicians of that era felt it important and backed it, African Americans achieved the rights/amendment that they sought with the help of some white politicians.

We all make mistakes trying to clearly convey a point and we all receive help achieving our goals and being understood.

The past is the past --people change because they learn and that process has a tendency to deepen our thoughts on how we view everything; therefore, changing ones opinion.

  3. george that you

  4. She has come a long way since then when she was what 17 years old, including getting out of that corrupt party republicans "Robert Novak "who helped out a CIA agent with bush and gang..remember Valerie Plame fool

  5. Yep, as soon as Reverend Al and Jesse apologizes for being racist.

  6. It's time for everyone to stop asking for an empty, meaningless apology for blacks. Everytime you turn around someone wants to know if you think black people deserve an apology. Does the white guy with 15 years experience on the job deserve an apology from the black guy with 2 who got the promotion because of affirmative action? An apology would be hollow and meaningless for any reason, ie; slavery. None of the survivors are here to accept it just like none of the enslavers are here to give it. Move on.

  7. Look up the facts.  The 1957 Civil Rights Act, which LBJ actually helped to get passed was signed when Hillary was 10 years old.  The 1964 Civil Rights Act, which LBJ also helped with for many years along side MLK was signed when Hillary was a junior in High School.  She became a Democrat when she was at Wellsley.  She was not against the civil rights movement.  After the improvements to the African American community during Bill Clinton's presidency, nobody is going to believe that either of them are racists except people who are too young to remember or who are just making up stories like this one.

  8. YOU ought to apologize for this tripe.

She was 17 at the time, and was only for Goldwater because her parents were.  She wasn't thinking about his position on Civil Rights.  Allow her to grow up and develop more sophisticated views.

  9. Nope.
