Should I Buy An Xbox 360?

Question

I have a Nintendo Wii and have since launch day. However, many of my friends have an Xbox 360 and although they didn't appeal to me at first, I'm now really considering getting one as I want to play games such as COD 4, Resident Evil 5, etc. Is it worth buying one? How long do you think until Microsoft release a new console, and shall I wait for that or is it too long a time in the future?

they are nice, but if you got a wii, you are playing the best console.

Yeah, like you Ive had Wii since it came out - just got a 360 to play GTA4 recently - it had to be replaced within the first month, becuase it over heated and died - new one seems to be working ok - when it works, its a good console.

Do consider PS3 too - although PS3 is bit more expensive.

you should definitely consider buying an xbox 360 as it is a high tech machine and even tho microsoft are talking about a new console, it will be about five years as they are planning on combining xbox and playstation. also the new releases due out on the xbox are said to be the best games so far

Ye it is worth it. If u want to connect with ur friends and play great games xbox live if perfect. It has a great games libary, get it with halo 3 or call of duty 4 which are two of the best games to play online.

they wont release a new xbox until at least 2010 so now is a great time to buy one.

I have a Wii too. The 360 doesn't really interest me that much. IfI got one today, I would be like "Okay, cool" but I'm not too crazy about it. Just go to a quiet place during the day and think about it. Picture yourself playing it. If you're positive about getting it, then go ahead.

P.S. Please don't become one of those fanboys that stay in their room all day playing 360 and despise Nintendo.

The Xbox360 is definitely worth it. I was in the exact situation you funnily enough and just saying, getting a xbox was definitely a good decision. Microsoft will prob release a new console in 5 to max 7 years. But when you look in the long run, i think the 360 has a lot more going for it in terms of games and multi-player.
