Should I Go Back to School

Question

Ok, currently I'm a Licensed Psychiatric Technician...without a job!

You see, I can only work in hospitals that have a psychiatric unit...not many hospitals do!

So, I am currently working through a nursing registry, and am barely getting one shift a week! =[

I am a single mother, and I am already two months behind in rent, and the bills just keep piling up! I already enrolled in a community college go get my RN license..

So, what do I do: Do I go to school, and keep stressing about bills..?

Or, do I work through the registry and barely make it?! Help!

It is probably good if you save your money for school and have your parents help you if they are around.

I guess going back to school would give you a better chance of getting more work and making more money. Even though you would have to worry about tuition but I bet it would pay off once your License.

i don't know much about bills, but if you go back to school I'm sure you'll get such a good education that you will get a better job and have enough money to pay off your bills and not stress as much.

i think that you should go back to school. because, just think about it. once you get done with school, you can get a better job, and pay your bills without any problem. but always think about it and include your own opinion about it. i suggest online courses, they're not as expensive and more convenient. good luck!

Yes, you can stress your bills for a time,

but in the end you'll feel better making MORE money than you already do :)

I, personally think you should go back to school. Your education is important however if you have kids, they also come first. I'd first search every job hunting agency until i find one and if i don't i'll go to school.

And if your worring about bills - its simple BUY A CALCULATOR! Your kids need to come first because YOU are looking after them. YOU are the person the know and call mommy.

You are in the same boat I am in.  Go back to school or you will be miserable.  You will be glad you did.  I am currently taking online courses and collecting for a little while until unemployment dries up.

Look into financial aid. Ask the community college what they can give you. Do what you have to do to get your family through this. Sometimes a full time job at a retail place while going to school at night has to do. It will pay the bills.

I think you should go to school and also talk to the teachers and professors about job opportunities. There should be some help. Barely paying off with the registry is delaying the debt but it won't overcome it in my opinion.
