  2. You can go Goth with your clothing but not your personality. Don't turn emo though, please.

  3. Hi!

I think it's a great idea to switch back and forth and try ALL different kinds of style! Afterall, you like style! :-)

Like, one day you dress preppy in pink then the next day you dress goth. Everyone, INCLUDING guys, like girls who can match with any tyle of clothings. :-)

Just keep your attitude the same, then you'll be perfect!

    Have a nice, awesome day!

  4. there's a huge difference between dressing goth, which can be fun, and living a goth lifestyle. goth fashion is pretty easy, a lot of black, a lot of fishnet, a lot of studs, black lace, flowy clothing, and platform shoes. the emphasis is on romanticism, femininity and death, as opposed to the masculinity and aggression of rivet heads or the trendiness and unnecessariness of the whole emo thing. it's easy to do and a great way to dress up and have fun with it every once in a while. a goth lifestyle, however, is completely dominated by those three themes. it is very intellectual, very dark, and not a lifestyle that is suited for everyone. you may want to look into it more before "going goth" completely.

here is a website to get you started with clothes: http://www.angryyoungandpoor.com/store/p...

the stuff on there is effective, cheap, and there are links to other sites with similar things; and yes it says punk clothes but there is an overlap between the two subcultures in terms of fashion. also, don't forget to use google to find additional sites. there are many, many good ones i've neglected to mention

if you're not going to get into it all together but are still interested in it you can add touches to your wardrobe with black lace, studs, and a lot of black. you can also try listening to some goth bands, like dead can dance, joy division, depeche mode and the cure.

i would, however, advise against dressing goth everyday if you're not going for the lifestyle all together. i usually hate people who harp on the whole "poser" thing but you will make some people who are really devoted to the whole goth lifestyle really unhappy. and remember, real goths don't wear skinny jeans or shop at hot topic. they abhor everything mainstream society has to offer. and one final note: there is no such thing as "goth-punk". ignore anyone who says otherwise. they are two very, very different lifestyles. good luck with whichever path you choose.

  5. so did i oncec but its' not for everyone so dont' try so hard 'to be goth just be your self  and everything will fall into place?

  6. You don't turn 'goth'.

    You just are.

    You have the characteristics.

Have always been into the style.

So don't turn fro m prep to goth.

    Just stay the same..

  7. dont be goth, just dress in what you like to wear.

if you see something you like, get it, wear it.

dont try and stereotype yourself as "Goth"

    just be yourself.

  8. Gothic. I am assuming that you may want to be a goth with a touch of emo and punk. I used to be a "goth" in school. I wore heavy black clothes and lacy things. Some days I'd wear tight jeans like Gerard Way. If you want to be goth and need some inspiration, pop on myspace and look at some pics of random "goths" you find. I am am expert on making you a goth. Let's start with the basics - your face.

Wear eyeliner and for a touch of feminity and sexiness, lots of mascara for to-die-for eyelashes. Look at this: http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/nn26/... A pale face is really effective, and die your hair dark. If you don't want black, go a bit purply or dark burgundy. You can buy rinses from a pharmacist and they make your hair not permanantly dark but it gives it that illusion of purple or whatever. A product similar to this will do: http://www.livecolour.com.au/liveShades/... If you want to go to the extreme, wear black lipstick. But it is a MUST that you wear black nail varnish.

Clothing. If you ever feel like being s**y, add fishnets to your tartan kilt. Platform heels with buckels are pretty good as well, looks like your going to a concert or something. With that attire, a tight black tank will go good, and if you have "lunchroom lady arms", i recommend sleeves, but it is a MUST that you have cleavage. Team with typical goth jewellry and chockers and you've got yourself some casual evening wear. If it's cold wear something like this over: http://www.violentdelights.co.uk/item_im...

Now, for a day at the mall. If you want to go to the mall, that is. Any of these will do: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=30499...

Hope this helps, check out http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/index.j... for some more clothing

  9. well all you do is go to the right stores and find clothing you like. And if you like something buy it. Or even go online. The best store is hot topic.

  10. dye your hair jet black, please don't wear full black do Smokey eyes, wear skinny jeans and punk rock t-shirts would be cute.......and flats

  11. if you have to ask, no. if u were genuine u would just do it and not ask. it will seem poserish

  12. Hmm. I guess all you really have to do is dye your hair black and like, powder your face white (I think.) and you have to get this crimson red lipstick going on for you and maybe eyeshadow.

Theeen as for clothes...uh, black clothes. That's all I really know, sorry. There might be gothic miniskirts at various stores...

  13. Well, it is a good idea to experiment with your clothes. My closet is so varied, it's kinda weird. I have skinny jeans, dresses, button up shirts, denim skirts and leggings, graphic tees, virtually everything. There's no one label. So that's my point, buy some band tees and skinny jeans, get a nose ring and some dirty old Converses, but don't wake up and say, 'I'm going to be goth today'. Just buy things you think are cute, that you want to wear, that express who you are. Even if you end up with 25% punk, 10% prep, 30% goth, and 35% skater. You don't need a label.

  14. Just be yourself.  Don't label yourself as anything besides you.  Wear what YOU think looks cool.  Don't BE anything, but YOU!

  15. Dont.

    Dont be gothic or anything.

Just be what you already are, and dont let any stereo types get in the way  of being who you really are.
