I agree with encouraging them to apply for papers, especially if they have never been here before (if they have for over a year they would have to wait out a ten year bar). The paperwork, if done in the beginning, would cost about the same as a coyote. I would suggest a good lawyer though. Its a better prospect than risking ones life crossing the desert to get here.

For the person who mentioned what the country is doing for these people, Calderon is working on improving the economy and driving out cartels and drug lords. Things aren't going to be fixed over night. The point, for both Mexico and us, is to make the prospect of immigrating illegally less alluring.

Well, if you are trying to help some desperate family for coming to US, and U have some benifit in it, so it makes both of you desperate.

If your'e just helping out of passion and love,  it is a wonderful idea to help people in distress. But it is not in your hand. Let proffessionals handle it.

I wish U find another way of helping them.

Why doesn't their goverment think about them. Why it has to be US to help every corrupt goverment's abused nations in behalf of it's citizens.

Think about it. Most hard working tax payers cannot afford medical care.

you have got to be kidding- why in the world would you even consider this? Friends? paaaalease... they are using you to get into the US- why don't they go through the same channels as legals do? Cause they would be allowed in probably. Why should they get to "jump" the line and not have to pay all the fees....?

I don't' think anyone cares as long as you drive them anywhere but the U.S.

Driving them to the U.S. is a crime and highly anti and un-American.

You can drive them (as in give em a ride) to the border or give them the drive the need (the will) but ultimately it will be factors at the border that determine thier success.  I mean, you can try to help them all you want but it's really out of your hands.

Try talking to them about filling out necessary paperwork to legally migrate. If they really are geniune good people, then encourage them NOT to risk thier lives or break the law. Encourage them to the right path to citizenship.
