At the moment i work at a Food Basics which is a grocery store as a cashier. It's an okay job, no complaints but i think i would rather a job in a clothing store as a cashier, Its basically the same job but different products being sold, also employee discount which i don't get at Food Basics. I ve been at Food Basics for a month now.

Do you think it's a good idea to look for another job? I wont quit Food Basics untill i get a nother job forsure.

  1. Since you are working in retail, I would say go for it.  Use your experience at the grocery store to market your ability to work with people, and find some place dealing with merchandise you like.  I would leave out the desire to get a discount in my interviews though!  Once you have found a great clothing store job, be sure to respect your grocery employer enough to give him/her two weeks notice.

  2. if you're not happy with your job, definitely find a new one. I heard that you're never sucessful in a career you're not happy with.

  3. Yes, if you're not happy look for another job but never leave the job you have until you have another one lined up!

  4. One month.???  It won't look good on your resume if you hop from job to job. Find one you like and stick to it

  5. Go for it.  You obviously know what you want.  Chase the dream....
