Should I Shave My Pubic Area or Not?

I'm 14 and gonna be in 9th grade tomorrow...my friends say they do the bikini area but my hair sometimes irritates me down there and i want to shave it all off. I recently did a test, and only shaved the top area and around my a**s...but i want to shave it all off as i said before. Im scared i might cut myself around the sensitive part...its not really hairy to begin with but again its kinda thick. What should i do..my friend said she really doesnt have hair as fair back as mien goes (dont ask why we were talking about this) but i want to know what guys like and everything..and dont say im too young...im not planning on having s*x i just want to get into the habbit...what do guys prefer....

It's a personal choice, if you want to shave it, shave it for you, not for what the men like. Because, honestly, different men like different things. But I would recommend waxing (I especially like this method: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/6... because shaving is irritating since the skin down there is sensitive. Products like Veet and Nair are really bad down there too (I'm telling you now, never EVER use those down there, or anywhere) But do what makes you feel comfortable, and do it for you.

oh thats exciting starting high school, i'm 16 and i know all my friends would definitely think that its gross not shaving, i wouldn't care much to be honest with you, its like one of those things that people some reason fixate on like circumcission.

If i was you i would probably shave it just because guys usually expect it but don't just listen to what other people say. do what you want :)

Like someone else already suggested, you should just trim and not shave.   Shaving can cause irritation such as itching, a rash and don't forget the horrible stubble which will grow in quite quickly.  It is really quite uncomfortable to shave the bikini area.

Most guys would prefer a girl to have no pubic hair at all. It's getting more and more common for girls to go bald and that's how I've kept it since it first started growing. Pubic hair is gross (on a girl).

trim don't shave

shaving will only make it more thicker when it grows back

and if your old enough get laser hair removal

you'll never have to worry about it again

Do whatever is most comfortable to you. I shave because I hated having pubes! Psychoanalyze that if you want! But invest in a more expensive razor like a Venus or Mach 3. If you don't want to cut yourself, don't use cheap razors. And have a separate razor for that area. Don't shave your legs and underarms with the same razor...that could transfer bacteria. Also, shave that area with an unscented soap for sensitive skin. Don't use shaving cream or scented body wash because if it gets up in your v****a it might cause a yeast infection. I recommend Dove soap/body wash. They have an unscented one for sensitive skin.

Just think about it for awhile cuz once you shave...it's hard to stop because after a few days the hair will get prickly and itchy.
