  1. I think you should also seek the advice of your mom and grandma. I'm not joking. They should know a bit.

  2. It comes down to what your own philosophy is in regards to early childhood education. If you believe that children learn through play with more flexible boundaries then the toddler teacher role is for you. If you believe that children learn best when there is a lot of structure surrounding their play experiences then montessori teaching is for you.

Thinking about your teaching style and philosophy will give you your own answer!

  3. yes, you can take the Montessori preschool teaching job IF..and only if you know their style and way of teaching because preschool teaching is different from their Montessori teaching. you cannot accept a teaching job without having some background about it, you'll just have a difficult time adjusting when you're already there. I suggest you can take up some Montessori classes first and try out their style. And if you think you like their style of teaching and it isn't that far from your way of teaching, then go! get the job! ^_^ God bless!

  4. The question isn't Toddler or Preschool, it's Montessori or not! Montessori is a very structured program with very clear guidelines on the role of staff. If you have been working in a more typical program you may find it quite restrictive and lacking in creativity. You need to decide on your own philosophy and look more closely at the Montessori program.

On the other hand, Toddlers are fun, and challenging, and entertaining, and frustrating, and an incredible amount of work. If you do it well you are probably exhausted, If you need a break then maybe time in a preschool classroom makes sense. Just make sure it is a program you are comfortable with.

  5. I'm a primary teacher, and personally just don't like the Montessori approach.

  6. im just a student, but i do know that the fun, is that being around toddlers just make you feel young again, and someone brings happiness, but the bad side, there noisy, they cry a lot.

  7. You're asking for a lot from people.

I think you should sit down and write out the advantages and disadvantages of both, and decide for yourself what you want to do.

High on the list would be how much enjoyment you'd have from each setting. That is the most important thing of all. And of course, how much the salary would be.

If you have 2 job offers, you are very fortunate.

  8. im not a teacher, heck im just a student, but i do know that the bright side, is that being around toddlers just make you feel young again, and someone brings joy to you sometimes, but the bad side, there noisy, they cry alot, and like if someone cuts them in line for the slide they start a big scene, and you have to solve the problem
