Question:

Should I Trade Roy Halladay for Carl Crawford?

a manager in my league has just offered me carl crawford for roy halladay. I am considering the trade and want to get some advice. I am leading the steals category, but have a few guys nipping at my heals, so crawford would help solidify that category. Also, I am in a dogfight with about 3 other managers in the batting average and runs category and Crawford could really help me out in those 2 categories with a good second half (like he had last season).

Here is my current starting staff:

Johan Santana

Dan Haren

Cole Hamels

Roy Halladay

Joba Chamberlain

Here is my current outfield:

Beltran

Conor Jackson

Abreu

Victorino

If I got Crawford, I could put him in Jackson's spot and move jackson to my infield spot to take the place of James Loney, who just is not getting it done in the run production category.

  1. I thought Conor Jackson played first base?

In any case, I would do it if you think you can afford to tip the balance to only 4 SP.

  2. I would do it - it sounds like you need him more and crawford is an absolute stud.

  3. Pull the trigger.

Then try to get Jake Peavy in a package deal.
