Should I Try Connections Accademy And Is It better Then Public Schools?

Okay Well i have been in public schools all my life im in 10th grade and i live in a small town in Oregon.and im just tired of the same old thing and teachers and everything an i haven't been doing much work lately.And getting behind. so i think i need to try something that would be more Flexible and a change so i have been thinking about trying connections academy Should i give it a try or not?

yea you should but i wouldnt keep falling behind on your work because if u go to a private school then they can kick u out much more easily then a public school.

With an online program you will have to be able to work independently and motivated yourself to stay on task, if you cannot do those two things, then I would not recommend it.

Also, be aware that you will be responsible for getting out and making your way in terms of friends and activities.  It can definitely be done, and it can be done well, but it will be your responsibility.

Whether you should try it or not will depend on a few things:

Are your parents supportive of the idea?

Will you be able to meet your social needs/wants while at home? Are there other home-educating families where you live that you could connect with?

Will you be able to stay on track with your work? Do you have the necessary motivation?

Think about what it would take for you to be successful with an online program and maintain any social outlets you would like, and if you are willing to do what you need to for it to be successful.
