Should I add Chris Carpenter?

Question

I'm a diehard Cardinal fan, and Carp is a free agent in my fantasy baseball league. I'm not sure whether to pick him up or not, because he has been out for so long. What's your advice?

I'd say do it - somebody else is thinking about it already - and worst case you go back to the waiver wire to just pickup someone else.  Plus, it'll make watching your team that much more exciting.  Even though I personally hate them.

Don't add him yet. See how he does is one or two starts. If he does well, add him. If not, don't. If you decide to add him, I think dropping C.J. Wilson's a good idea.

Drop Joe Rauch and pick up Carpenter. Or maybe drop one of your hitters for him. DOnt expect him to come right in and dominate but I do think that its a great pickup. Im picking him up in my league. LOL and it dosnt really matter if your a die hard Cards fan, Number one fantasy rule, Dont be Loyal to your team.
